As part of our on-going partnership with Palms and KAOS, we got the opportunity to create content for the club’s general admission tunnel. Continuing our theme of audio-reactive design, we set out to make the content reactive to live sounds from the dancefloor.

Our idea was to generate infinite logos live until the whole tunnel was full.
Knowing we were going to have an infinite amount of logos filling up the tunnel, we needed to figure out how they were going to animate. I’ve always been fascinated by underwater photography of jellyfish. Their vibrant colors and motion became the main source of inspiration throughout our process.
We visited the club numerous times while it was under construction to get a sense of scale and overall ambience. The walls of the tunnel would be filled with mirrors to create an infinity effect. Our content would live on the ceiling LED screens which was powered by Notch, a real-time motion graphics software.
We hired Volvox out of Brooklyn to execute the Notch build. While we were in BK, we tested the content on the same model of LED screens to work in full scale.
